Appetite for Jackson to benefit Noone Scholarship

Appetite for Jackson -- a festival featuring an appearance by the Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern who will be in town shooting an episode of Appetite for Life with Andrew Zimmern -- is set for Saturday, Jan. 28 from 2-9 p.m.

The event will be in the new The Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art.

The Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership held a ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 8 for the new Ciao Bella restaurant in LeFluer's Gallery.

The restaurant is located at 4800 N. Interstate 55 Suite 6B/7A.

Free coffee Thursday

Bellwether Church in Jackson will be having a free coffee day at Sneaky Beans, Broad Street Bakery & Cafe and Cups in Fondren Thursday.

They will be giving out free cups of coffee all day and will donate the price of that cofee to the Children's Haven of Hope.

Chastain students get lessons in etiquette at iconic Jackson restaurant

Fourty students and staff members from Chastain Middle School's gifted program participated in a field trip to the Penguin Restaurant for an etiquette lesson in fine dining.
